Ripples in Orange
Warm and full of energy, Ripples in Orange celebrates the expressive power of color and the beauty of natural materials. Hand-thrown ceramic discs are arranged along a copper framework, with pine needle basketry woven into the forms, creating a rich contrast between smooth ceramic surfaces and intricate woven textures.
The vibrant orange tones bring warmth and vitality to the composition, while the repeating circular forms establish a rhythmic movement across the sculpture. The woven pine needles add an organic element, creating depth and visual interest throughout the arrangement.
Balancing bold color with the tactile beauty of traditional basketry, Ripples in Orange is a lively wall sculpture that brings warmth, texture, and a distinctive artistic presence to its surroundings.
